Audi RS6V12

The Audi RS6V12 is the Digital Drivers build of an RS 6 Avant C8 with a Ferrari V12 in the nose, rear-wheel drive and a sequential gearbox. It is inspired by a real one-off project in Sweden that is putting a Ferrari V12 and a Samsonas six-speed sequential into a C8 RS6; this car is our own interpretation and has no connection to that project.

V12

what this stage is about

The RS6 Avant with a Ferrari V12, rear-wheel drive and a sequential gearbox, for track days and the Nordschleife and the full RS12-style body.

  • Ferrari F140HC V12 of the Daytona SP3 as Ferrari rates it: 840 PS at 9,250 rpm and 697 Nm at 7,250 rpm, 9,250 rpm limiter; Kunos' curve shape scaled up by 11 %.
  • Samsonas six-speed sequential ratios on a 3.76 final drive, 950 Nm race clutch, rear-wheel drive through a plate limited-slip differential; quattro, rear-wheel steering, adaptive dampers and driving modes removed.
  • KW V4 three-way coilovers with steel springs, GT3 steel brakes, a two-element swan-neck rear wing, a GT3 splitter and canards, and the aero of a GT3 flat floor and diffuser (visible parts follow): CL*A about 3.1 m2, 38 % of it on the front axle.
  • 1,580 kg with driver and without fuel and 53 % on the front axle (both estimates), track 1.747 / 1.765 m, 120 l safety cell.
  • Setup: ride heights 75 / 82 mm, springs 200 / 180 N/mm, brake bias 67.0 %, TC 6, ABS 7, wing at 0, 60 l of fuel.

#AudiRS12 (Olle Olsson, Sweden)

A real one-off in Sweden: Olle Olsson is building an RS 6 Avant C8 with a Ferrari F12berlinetta V12, rear-wheel drive and a Samsonas six-speed sequential, documented in a video series; no power target or weight is published. This car is our own interpretation and has no connection to that project.

The measurements

19laps with telemetry

driven in this car by club drivers and shared from the app of their own free will. The setups marked “measured” take tyre pressures, fuel per lap and brake bias from laps like these.

  • Ferrari's figures for the Daytona SP3's F140HC: 840 cv at 9,250 rpm and 697 Nm at 7,250 rpm, the base engine
  • Samsonas RWDs Universal six-speed sequential: a published ratio set 2.462 to 0.962, 38 kg dry, up to 1,400 Nm with options
  • Stage 2 after Daily Driven Exotics' twin-turbo Ferrari F12: '1,278 WHP' and '1,300 WHP' in its video titles, no dyno sheet

The car

The Audi RS6V12 is the Digital Drivers build of an RS 6 Avant C8 with a Ferrari V12 in the nose, rear-wheel drive and a sequential gearbox. It is inspired by a real one-off project in Sweden that is putting a Ferrari V12 and a Samsonas six-speed sequential into a C8 RS6; this car is our own interpretation and has no connection to that project.

The engine is the 6.5-litre V12 of the Daytona SP3 at Ferrari's 840 PS and 697 Nm, revving to 9,250 rpm. It drives the rear wheels only, through a six-speed sequential gearbox with a Samsonas ratio set and a race clutch; the quattro driveline, the rear-wheel steering, the adaptive dampers and the driving modes are gone. Stage 1 adds twin superchargers as Novitec fitted them to the 599's V12, about 890 PS and 860 Nm (an estimate for this engine). Stage 2 fits twin turbos in the style of Daily Driven Exotics' twin-turbo Ferrari F12: about 1,500 PS and 1,900 Nm (an estimate).

1,580 kg in the game with driver and without fuel and 53 % on the front axle with the V12 front-mid and 48 kg of ballast, both estimates, 120 l safety cell, KW V4 three-way coilovers with steel springs, GT3 brakes, 19-inch slicks, a swan-neck rear wing, a GT3 splitter and the aero of a GT3 flat floor and diffuser (the visible floor and diffuser follow). The body follows the #AudiRS12 renders: front and rear wings 60 / 80 mm wider a side, louvres and exit slots, a new front and rear, a bonnet with two bulges and a hidden exhaust.

The original

Audi built the RS 6 Avant C8 from 2019: a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with 600 PS, an eight-speed automatic, quattro drive, rear-wheel steering and air suspension, about 2.1 tonnes.

Ferrari's naturally aspirated F140 V12 family runs from the Enzo's 6.0 litres to the Daytona SP3's 6.5 litres with 840 PS at 9,250 rpm. Novitec supercharged the 599's version to about 888 hp. From 2020 the YouTube channel Daily Driven Exotics fitted twin turbos to the 6.3-litre V12 of a Ferrari F12berlinetta and quotes 1,278-1,300 whp for it. In 2026 a Swedish builder started fitting an F140 V12 with rear-wheel drive and a sequential gearbox into a C8 RS6; this club car takes up the idea with the SP3's engine.
