GT3

what this stage is about

Set up for the Nordschleife, after the N24 and NLS GT3 cars.

  • 10 mm more ride height (80 / 95 mm) for the jumps at Flugplatz and Pflanzgarten and the compression in the Fuchsröhre.
  • Springs 90 / 95 N/mm and 35 % less high-speed bump damping so kerbs and crests do not unsettle the car, while the low-speed damping holds the platform.
  • Anti-roll bars 24,000 / 37,500 N/m put more load on the inside rear tyre for traction out of slow corners.
  • Wing +3 with the flat floor: about 430 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, 38.5 % of it on the front axle.
  • 60 l of fuel for about six laps, TC 4, brake bias 71.0 %.

  • Engine and driveline: Kunos' BMW M4 GT3 data unchanged, about 540 PS at the curve's peak, inside BMW's 540-550 hp in racing trim
  • APR Performance's published lift-to-drag ratio of 8.8 for the GTC-300 sets the rear wing's drag
  • MoTeC telemetry on the Nordschleife (2026-10-04): 112.5 km/h at 7,000 rpm in 1st with the M4 GT3 gearbox, the rolling radius behind every gear speed

  • More grip on the road tyres, as on the Clubsport and the GT2 RS MR: Cup 2 R +2.6 %, Trofeo RS +4.7 % lateral / +5.7 % under braking, A052 +2.6 %, with less grip loss under load, a quicker response and a 70 C start temperature.
  • Road tyres now in 18 in to fit the GT3 wheels: 265/35 R18 front and 295/30 R18 rear (until now 235/35 R19 and 265/30 R19).
  • Tyre names with maker and size including the rim diameter, e.g. Pirelli P Zero DHF GT3 slick 275/305-18.
  • Slick 3 % more grip (lateral and under braking), so it stays quicker than the Trofeo RS at every load, as on the GT2 RS MR.

The car

The BMW M3 E46 CSL GT3 is the Digital Drivers race build of the M3 CSL to GT3 specification on the car's standard body. It is powered by the P58 twin-turbo straight six of the BMW M4 GT3 with its sequential six-speed gearbox, race clutch and limited-slip differential, and runs GT3 brakes, Pirelli GT3 slicks and Nitron R3 three-way coilovers.

The aero package pairs an APR Performance GTC-300 rear wing with a HARD Motorsport front splitter, a flat floor under the car and a carbon rear diffuser. The cockpit has a bolt-in roll bar, the M4 GT3 steering wheel and a race display with the M4 GT3 pages under a bar of ten shift lights. With the 100 l safety cell and the battery in the boot the car weighs 1,265 kg in the game with driver, 50.3 % on the front axle.

Set up the way GT3 teams run the Nordschleife. Every chassis, aero, brake and tyre part can be changed in the garage.

The original

BMW raced the E46 M3 as the M3 GTR from 2001, first in the American Le Mans Series with Schnitzer, then at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, where it finished first and second in 2004 and won again in 2005. Those cars used a 4.0-litre V8.

This build takes today's route instead: the P58 of the current M4 GT3, BMW's GT3 engine derived from the S58 production straight six (crankcase, cylinder head and crankshaft carried over), rated by BMW at up to 590 hp and 700 Nm.
