Terms
General terms and conditions for the Digital Drivers supporter subscription and the tanks of the AI race engineer.
As of 29 October 2026 · This English text is a translation for your information; only the German version is legally binding.
1. Scope and provider
These general terms and conditions apply to the supporter subscription (the "subscription") and to the tanks of the AI race engineer (the "tanks") of Digital Drivers on digitaldrivers.club. Sections 2 to 7 concern the subscription, sections 8 and 9 the tanks, the rest both.
The provider and your contracting party is DigitalDrivers - Jörn Szech, Rombecker Weg 60, 45470 Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, e-mail: [email protected] (the "club" or "we").
The subscription and the tanks are open to people resident in a member state of the European Union or in Switzerland. Different terms only apply if we expressly agree to them.
2. What the contract is about
With the subscription you make a regular, voluntary contribution to what the club offers free of charge to everyone: the club cars, the setups, the servers and the desktop app.
In return, for as long as the subscription runs, you get a supporter badge next to your name on the website, among other places in the header and in the lap records, and your Steam name on the public thank-you page, which you can switch off at any time.
The club owes nothing beyond this. In particular, you get no earlier or preferred access to cars, updates, setups or servers, no claim to particular content, features or availability and no special support. Cars, updates, setups and servers stay free for everyone, whether or not they take out the subscription.
3. Prices and payment
The subscription comes in three tiers: €3, €5 or €10 a month, or €30, €50 or €100 a year. The prices are final prices; no VAT is charged under § 19 UStG (German small business scheme). There are no further costs.
The contribution is due in advance for the whole billing period (month or year), the first time when the contract is concluded.
Payment is handled by the payment service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, D02 H210, Ireland. You can pay with the payment methods shown during the order. You receive a receipt by e-mail for every payment.
If a payment fails, Stripe tries to collect it again after a few days. If the contribution remains unpaid, we can end the subscription.
4. Conclusion of the contract
Showing the subscription on the club page is not yet a binding offer.
To order, you sign in with your Steam account. On the club page you choose the tier, the billing period and your country, confirm the notes on these terms and on the immediate start, and enter your payment details. Until you click "Subscribe with obligation to pay" you can check and correct everything you entered, or stop by leaving the page.
By clicking "Subscribe with obligation to pay" you make a binding offer to conclude the subscription. The contract is concluded when the first payment succeeds; we show you this on the confirmation page, and you receive a receipt by e-mail.
With your order you expressly ask us to begin our service, the badge, at once and before the withdrawal period ends. Your right of withdrawal is not affected by this.
The language of the contract is German; the English version of these terms is for information only. We store the details of your subscription (tier, period, start, status); you can see them on the "My account" page while the subscription runs. You can view, print or save these terms on this page at any time.
5. Term, renewal and cancellation
Depending on your choice, the subscription first runs for one month or one year from the conclusion of the contract. After that it continues for an indefinite period, and the contribution goes on being charged in advance for the period you chose, unless you cancel before.
You can cancel the subscription at any time without giving reasons. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; until then you keep the badge. A yearly subscription that has already renewed ends one month after we receive the cancellation; we refund the contribution for the time after the end of the contract pro rata.
You can cancel on the "Cancel contracts here" page (no sign-in needed, linked at the bottom of every page), through the subscription management on the "My account" page or by e-mail to [email protected]. We confirm every cancellation by e-mail straight away.
Both sides keep the right to terminate for good cause without notice.
If you delete your account, the subscription ends at once with the deletion, and the badge goes. The contribution for the current period is not refunded pro rata in that case; if you want to keep the badge until the end of the period, cancel first and delete the account later.
6. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have a statutory right of withdrawal. The details are in the withdrawal notice on the "Withdrawal" page. During the withdrawal period you can also withdraw there with the "Withdraw from contract" button. If you withdraw within the period, we refund the full first contribution. For a tank purchase, section 9 applies.
7. Badge and thank-you page
The badge shows while the subscription runs, also while Stripe retries a failed payment. It goes when the subscription ends.
Your Steam name and profile picture appear on the thank-you page from the start of the subscription. You can switch the listing off and on again on the "My account" page at any time; switched off, it disappears at once.
Badge and listing are tied to your Steam account and cannot be transferred. We can take a name off the thank-you page that breaks the law or the club's rules, such as an insulting one; the subscription is not affected.
The statutory rights in case of defects apply.
8. Tanks: prepaid litres for the AI race engineer
A tank is a one-time purchase of litres, the consumption units of the club's AI race engineer: a service that evaluates your own laps and answers your questions about them. Litres are not money; one litre corresponds to about one cent of the AI cost the club pays for the service.
Two packs are offered: 300 litres for €5 and 650 litres for €10. The prices are final prices; no VAT is charged under § 19 UStG (German small business scheme). The price is due once, with the order; there is no subscription and nothing is charged again. Payment is handled by Stripe as described in section 3.
To order, you sign in with your Steam account, choose a pack and your country on the tank page, confirm the notes on these terms and on the immediate availability of the litres, and enter your payment details. Until you click "Buy with obligation to pay" you can check and correct everything you entered, or stop by leaving the page. By clicking "Buy with obligation to pay" you make a binding offer to buy the pack. The contract is concluded when the payment succeeds; we show you this on the confirmation page, and you receive a receipt by e-mail. With your order you expressly ask us to make the litres available at once and before the withdrawal period ends.
The litres go into the tank of your account as soon as the payment succeeds. Every use of the race engineer (a briefing, a question) takes the litres it costs; we show the approximate consumption before each use and book the exact one afterwards, which you see on the "My account" page. Litres do not expire. They are tied to your Steam account, cannot be transferred or paid out, and can be used only for the race engineer. Should the club end the race engineer, we refund the litres left at their purchase price.
The statutory rights in case of defects apply.
9. Tanks: withdrawal, refunds and chargebacks
As a consumer you have the statutory right of withdrawal for every tank purchase, for fourteen days from the day of the purchase; the details and the button to withdraw online are on the "Withdrawal" page. Because you asked for the litres to be available at once, you owe us the share of the price for the litres already used when you withdraw; we refund the rest at the purchase price.
If you delete your account, we refund the litres left in the tank at their purchase price to the payment method you paid with, as far as the payment service provider still allows a refund to it; otherwise we get in touch by e-mail to arrange it.
If a payment is reversed (a chargeback), the litres of that purchase are removed from the tank.
10. Changes to these terms
Changes to these terms or to the prices only apply to a running subscription or to litres already bought if you agree to them. We tell you about them in advance by e-mail. If you do not agree, the subscription continues on the previous terms; either side can then cancel it under section 5.
11. Applicable law and dispute resolution
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in another country, the protection given to you by the mandatory provisions of that country's law is not affected.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
